As if in the blink of an eye, the first six months since the establishment of BEX have passed. What started as an idea to support Bulgarian technology businesses in expanding to the U.K. has now become a reality.

Coincidentally (or perhaps not), on the day of this significant milestone, we were invited by the British Ambassador, Dr. Rob Dixon, to share our progress at a roundtable event in Sofia.

Sitting across from Ambassador Dixon, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe, Chris Barton, the Bulgarian Minister of Innovation and Growth, Milena Stoycheva, and a group of Bulgaria’s top entrepreneurs and investors, was an emotional experience.

We couldn’t have been prouder of what the BEX team has achieved to date!

The team and network of partners we've established provide a solid foundation, but there's still a lot of work ahead to ensure seamless connectivity between the two ecosystems.

The discussions around the table confirmed that we're on the right track, and there's even greater potential for collaboration ahead, both with the two governments and the private sector.
